Surgical robots for laparoscopic surgery are becoming ever more popular across the world though, Japan is lagging far behind in terms of the commercial application. One reason is thought to be the difficulty of commercialization of medical devices, which leads to a barrier for entry for large companies. ASAHI SURGICAL ROBOTICS CO.,LTD. was established as a startup to develop novel and high quality surgical robots for laparoscopic surgery. We believe that our surgical robots will help to increase the QOL of all patients.
